Race or competition: the 90-second preparation

A 90-second ritual to prepare for your race: breathe with a coach, rehearse the moment in your mind, and set an anchor you can recall on the spot.

1 · Arrive — 30 seconds

Breathe with Sport using the Endurance pattern: Inhale 3s · exhale 3s. The coach video and the music follow every inhale and exhale, so you do not have to count.

2 · Rehearse — 45 seconds

  1. Picture the start of your race. The ground, the air, the people around you.
  2. Feel your first movements — relaxed, precise, economical.
  3. Midway it gets hard. You breathe, drop your shoulders and hold your rhythm.
  4. See your strongest moment: technique clean, mind quiet.
  5. See the finish. You gave everything you planned to give.

3 · Anchor — 15 seconds

Make a loose fist, then open it. Say quietly: “Go.” In the real moment, repeat the gesture and one long exhale to recall the prepared state.

Afterwards — the check-in

AHΞHA asks you later how it went: worse, as expected, or better. Your answers build your personal proof record.

Why mental rehearsal

Athletes, surgeons and musicians have used imagery for decades: vividly imagining an action engages many of the same brain networks as doing it, and slow exhales shift the body toward its calming (parasympathetic) branch. AHΞHA packs both into one short, repeatable ritual. It is a preparation tool, not a medical treatment.
