AHΞHAStart swim ritual
🏊 For swimmers

Swim the race before you swim it.

A 90-second behind-the-block ritual: breathe the way you breathe in the water, see your start, your rhythm, your turn and your finish — then step up with one gesture and one long exhale.

The AHΞHA swim breath

Strong in. A short stop. A long, long exhale.

AHΞHA's signature pattern was built close to swimming: a heavy inhale, a moment of stillness as the face goes into the water, then a long exhale that carries you into flow.

During the ritual the coach video and the “Swim” music follow this rhythm, so you never have to count.

What you rehearse

45 seconds in the water — in your head.

After 30 seconds of breathing with your coach, five scenes appear, one every nine seconds:

  1. Picture the water before your race. Its colour, its temperature, the line on the bottom.
  2. Feel the start: a strong entry, a long glide, a calm first breath.
  3. Find your stroke rhythm — long exhale into the water, quick inhale out.
  4. It gets hard. You lengthen the exhale and hold your technique.
  5. See yourself touch the wall. You swam your race.
Your anchor: Press your palms together. Say quietly: “Flow.” On the block: palms together, one long exhale, goggles down — and go.
Rehearse with your own footage

Your start. Your turn. Breath-synced.

Film 5–30 seconds of your start, a turn or a few strokes. Upload it and run the ritual with your own video, synchronized to the swim breath, with a coach as guide in the corner. €4.99 per video or €9.99 for 30 days unlimited.
Get a coach review. Verified swim coaches on AHΞHA watch your clip and answer with a personal video — €29, one-off.
Swim coaches & clubs: create your coach page with photo and bio, gift rituals before meets and earn 30% on purchases of swimmers who join through you, plus 10% on the next level.
Honest proof. After each race AHΞHA asks: worse, as expected or better than you expected? Your record builds race by race.
Safety first: do the ritual on land. The “stop” in the pattern is one short second — this is not breath-hold training. Never practise breath holds in or under water, and never alone: hypoxic blackout can happen without warning.
FAQ

Questions from swimmers

When exactly should I do it?

On land, 5–15 minutes before your race — after the warm-up, in the call room or behind the blocks. Use the anchor right before the start.

Will it make me faster?

We don't promise times. Mental rehearsal is widely used in swimming to make race plans automatic and to stay calm. Your check-ins show what it does for you.

Which coach and music should I pick?

AHΞHA suggests Helena for races, Babsi for open water and Tom for training, with the “Swim” or “Ocean” music. You can change both before you start.

Does it cost anything?

The ritual is free and unlimited. Your own videos and coach reviews are optional extras.
