Flight & jetlag recovery: the 90-second routine
A 90-second ritual to prepare for your arrival after a long flight: breathe with a coach, rehearse the moment in your mind, and set an anchor you can recall on the spot.
1 · Arrive — 30 seconds
Breathe with Joynado: Inhale 4s · hold 4s · exhale 6s · hold 2s. The coach video and the music follow every inhale and exhale, and the FLOW line shows you when to breathe in and out.
2 · Visualize — 45 seconds
- Picture the quiet space where you unroll your yoga mat after a long flight. Notice the natural light, the temperature of the floor, the calm silence away from notifications and airport noise.
- See yourself arriving fully. Shoulders low. Breath slow and quiet.
- The first moment: you lengthen your spine, and the physical tension of the journey melts away.
- A heavy wave of jetlag tries to pull you down. You pause, exhale and root your feet firmly into the floor.
- See the end: you open your eyes knowing your energy is restored and you are in sync with your new surroundings.
3 · Anchor — 15 seconds
Press your palms flat against your thighs. Say quietly: “Arrived.” Use the same gesture later in the day with one long exhale.
Why it works
Mental rehearsal engages many of the same brain networks as the real action, and a long exhale shifts the body toward its calming, parasympathetic side. AHΞHA combines both into one short, repeatable ritual. It is a preparation and relaxation tool — not a medical treatment.
